The Real Bone Park
This is Freda's real trailer. I spent a lot of time as a kid in the BONE PARK. Although there was a real Freda and a real Reg, their life story was very different than ours.
This is the real—now infamous—pool. You can almost see Freda doing laps in it, with a smoke hanging out of her mouth and the devil in her eye.
These are the shuffleboard courts that devour so much of the park residents time. They are also the place where Ruby attracted some very unwanted attention.
These are the tiny lanes that the ladies ride their 'trikes' down and where secrets are whispered.
Speaking of 'trikes'...oh, they are very real and a very important part of the BONE PARK lifestyle.
The pool may be the center of the story, but the Activity Center is the center of the BONE PARK and plays a big role in the unfolding of book 2.
