CELEST (launched March 3, 2022) The first book in Trine. It’s the story of an outsider who wants to find her place in the world. This theme of feeling lost, of searching for a home and for those who you belong to, is one of the grounding themes of the book. Alone. Alone. Alone. Celest’s fear of the word and its attached meanings are where we start but it’s eventually what she desperately wishes she could have back.
Celest was born on a thought. She came to me like a dream and kept coming to me every day, talking and planning through me, telling me her story and her view of the world. Just like the book, I was wrapped up in the adventure. I had no blueprint for her, I just sat at my computer every day and she would take over, leading me down the next rabbit hole. My heart broke when hers did, it skipped when hers did and it soared when hers did. I never knew what was going to happen next and I loved every second of it. I had no intention of writing a trilogy when I started Celest, that was her doing. By the end of the first book, she left me with no choice and what has evolved is a world and characters that I can’t get enough of.
This trilogy, although considered YA or NA, never takes its reader for granted. Never plays down to them or to the needs of its characters. It challenges its readers while simultaneously making them hang on tight. I am very proud to give you, The Trine Trilogy!
BITH (launched June 6th, 2022) This is the second book in the Trine Trilogy. It picks up where the first book left off, but is not your typical sequel or retelling—it has you running out of the gate. It is a new perspective on what happened and a cosmic shift that changes what lies ahead.
I heard her voice as loud as Celeste, but it was so different. It was demanding, strong and unrelenting. She clawed at my mind to get out and steer the course of the THREE's fate. I love her fight, her never back down attitude, while at the same time I hurt for her past. She came out swinging, pushing the story forward and begging me to give her what she never had. She took our story to new places, pushed it to the edge of sanity, the reaches of space, and the outskirts of true desire. If Celest is the story's heart, Bith is its fists—but clutched deep inside her clenched fingers, is a delicate heart that yearns to be loved and will do anything to protect those who know that.
BOY (launched Sept 9th, 2022) This is the third and final book of the Trine Trilogy. It finds our boy, Tron, alone and allows us into his guarded world, just as ours has disappeared. (it also happens to be my wife's favourite book in the trilogy)
Tron wasn't just lost in space, he was lost in my mind. He was hard to find, but when I did, he had a lot to say! The adventure he took me on was not only out of this world but out of my comfort zone, and had me stretching myself farther than I thought I could as a writer.
His story mixes so many genres, so many emotions and so many timelines that I wondered if he would ever show me the way out. But he did, and not only did he create the most epic end to this journey, he taught me a very valuable lesson. That my dream lies just beyond 'can't'.
Oh, and he also showed me that depending on your perspective, "the end" could be a "beginning".

Where does the name Celest comes from?
It was the name of a little girl that used to eat with her parents at a restaurant I worked at. She was the brightest little star I ever met.

LAWS AND LORE
The immaculate births.
Celest, Tabitha and Tron were all born to women who could not get pregnant. Meda had complications from her car accident that left her barren, Nel had her tubes tied and Prin is transgender. The births happened after Meda had the Event. The Event was a meditative vision of the Trine symbol followed by the message, “The three will arrive.” The next morning Nel gave birth to Tabitha, then Meda to Celest and Prin to Tron. Each birth happened two days apart from the other.
After their birth, hundreds of people came from around the world to see them and many joined the commune. In search of answers and instant fixes for life’s trauma, the newcomers pushed the limits and safety of the Ayahuasca treatments and two people died. These deaths and the attention they received from authorities, forced the three children and their mothers to be separated and put into hiding.
The Events (Words from beyond):
What is Trine?
To Celest, Tabitha, Tron and the Nine it is the three truths of life. The rise, shine and set of the sun, the cycle of life: birth, blaze and death—Tron, Tab and Celest. It became the identity and belief system of the Nine and the commune when the three were born. It was built on the words of the Event. Their symbol is the circle with a dot in the middle with a line above and below it. Trine means three.
Who are the Nine?
The Nine are what Celest calls the remaining members of the commune. The ones who were around at her birth, who helped hide her and the others and have been waiting for their return. They are Mikka, Netti, Thane, Petal, Mare, Ting, Sag, Rae and Tan.
Bertram Campbell and the Rip.
Bertram left the commune and started working for the government doing “remote viewing”, spying using meditation. Eventually he was able to communicate with extraterrestrials using altered states of consciousness and even guide them to our planet. This was done in an attempt by the government to down the ships and to pirate them, in hopes of stealing their technology. Although the government didn’t actually acquire many ships, this practice kept the superiors happy while he and his assistant Nevin, worked on his real project. This “real” project was to use meditative states, frequency-altering generators and astral projection to slip into infinite dimensions. He began to poke around into these other dimensions, peaking into them in his altered state gaining insights into the very nature of our universe. But, one day the frequency generators maxed out, amplifying the energy and he disappeared into thin air. Nevin thought he had disintegrated, dissolved into the fabric of time and space, but after a few hours, he reappeared. Stepping back into the lab through a rip in the air.
The Rip.
The rip is a place between dimensions. “The gap. The void. The space between space. Time between time.”
When the frequency generators maxed out, it opened this rip. Bertram was pulled through it, called in by Oumuamua thinking it was another dimension, not an alien craft. Once onboard the ship, the ship tried to communicate with him and he picked up fragments of its purpose. A purpose he was determined to stop. Stepping back into the void, he saw the Trine symbol and followed it, which lead him back to his lab, where he had jotted the symbol down in his notes years ago.
Bertram learned he needed the Trine symbols to act as a beacon, a way to guide him out of the infinite darkness. He can’t just step out of it anywhere he wants, he needs the symbol to be somewhere in the desired destination. He also learned that the symbols are not pinpoint accurate, they only guide him to the general area of where they are. For him, the rip only allows him to travel between spots on the planet or between our planet and Oumuamua, and the rip only lasts for two minutes each time. It is very unstable, and no explosive weapons can travel through it. Bullets or anything combustible disintegrates when they cross its threshold. It has the same effect on all things from our planet including the human body. It breaks him down a little more every time he passes through the rip. The only way Bertram is able to hunt the Three using it is because of the suit he received from Oumuamua when it sensed his pain.
EASTER EGG!
There is a huge Easter egg in Celest, that holds clues to what’s to come in BOY. Hint; it happens in “the Bag” during the conversation with Meda and Petal. It’s a reference to Skyquake. Skyquake is only the sound that accompanies the rip, it is also a movie I made in 2016, that has deep ties to this trilogy and is the first appearance of a ghost…AKA Kasmot!

THE RED PLANET
This is the home of the Verg. Our masters. Our doom. Its air is unbreathable to humans. It is divided into 6 continents, each home to 2 clans. The only other land mass is the breeding colony on an island in the middle of a poisonous ocean. There are three towers that hold up the dome, one on each continent. The Verg are protected and served by the Kasmot—a hybrid breed of Verg and Human.
The Black Knight Satellite
The Black Knight Satellite, the Ghosts ship and the transports on the Red Planet are not ships at all. They are a species from space. Organic “whales” of the galaxy that just like humans, have been enslaved by the Verg.
THE VERG
The Verg are a massive race of white, rotund creatures that not only created the Kasmot, they created all of humanity. We are their crop. Their food, slaves and entertainment. They are a plague on the galaxy, who know no end to cruelty.
THE GREYS
They are what we have always been shown as aliens. The tiny men from space, with big eyes and skinny bodies. They are the antithesis to the Verg. They want no control of anything, just want to observe. They are the students of the galaxy.
THE SHARDS
Peaceful, powerful and patient. These light beings are the key to the whole story and light the way to possibly more.
This is the first of the symbols to appear. It represents the Black Knight Satellite at the top, the Ghost's ship at the bottom and the planet in the middle.
This is the second symbol. It represents the formation that the THREE, the MOTHERS and the NINE took at the end of Bith to destroy the Ghost.
This is the third symbol. It represents the ‘Tesla’ prediction. Trine. The 3, the 6 and the 9. Celest, Bith and Tron being the middle three, Meda, Prin and Mel being the next 3 and the babies being the final three. The three rings represent the 3 worlds and also the 3 Shards.
Over the past several decades, science has begun to embrace the unknown. From the study of quantum physics, theoretical mathematics, to the power of meditation and universal connection, we are beginning to open up to possibilities. The recent disclosure and confirmation of alien craft and visitation by governments around the world, led by the United States Pentagon, might be the cue that we need to open our eyes to our true nature and our positive possibilities.
This story is based heavily on the power of the human mind, spirit and heart. It questions our beliefs and our underestimated potential as a life form. This is a hopeful story of what we can do, when we believe in ourselves and each other.
